當我們開始注意到我們養的雞隻臉上跟羽毛上有黑點時，它們約6.5個月大。以為也許是吃的飼料（到那時為止也是有機飼料）或新的草，但不管是什麼，有一天就看到一些雞隻臉上羽毛上有黑點。而且還同時停止孵蛋，看來我們的雞隻似乎染到禽痘病毒。
對這種狀況沒有已知的治療法，（只能透過疫苗控制），知道會擴散到整個雞舍的雞隻全死亡。是常見的情況。
偶爾我們會在雞舍，早上餵餐時，噴灑一杯一命的一號杯甘斯，但沒有嚴格遵循一套固定的模式。在禽痘病毒出現後，還沒擴散到整個雞舍前，我們決定改成一號杯二號杯並行，混在它們喝的水裡頭，以及雞舍也以此噴灑，這樣連續十天。
我們還也把飼料換回Costco的有機飼料。 7天後，它們開始再次下蛋，禽痘幾乎完全消失。10天後，它們看來100％好了，完全無症狀。
雞隻們很開心，又再度恢復健康。它們回覆健康的雞隻已有好幾個禮拜，還下了一堆蛋。

Here's a neat testimonial about how plasma water helped our chickens overcome avipoxvirus.
Our flock was about 6.5 months old when we started noticing all of these black spots appearing on some of the birds combs and faces. Maybe it was the bag of conventional feed (they had only had organic up to that point) or the new hay bail introduced into their coop, but whatever it was these black spots started showing up one day on a handful of our birds combs and faces. They had also stopped laying all together. It appeared our flock had fowl pox aka avipoxvirus.
Officially there is no known cure for this condition (only management by vaccine) and it is known to spread and can eventually kill entire flocks. This is a common condition and can even be seen in the bird pictured on the organic feed bag 😮.
Occasionally we would spray cup 1 plasma water in their coop during morning feedings, but weren't following a strict plasma protocol for them at all. After the avipoxvirus showed up and was beginning to spread throughout the flock, we decided to try adding cup of life 1 and 2 plasma water to their waterers and sprayed the coop down with both cups of life plasma water for about 10 days. We also ditched the conventional feed and put them back on their typical organic chicken feed from Costco. After 7 days they began laying again and their pox had almost completely disappeared. By 10 days they appeared to 100% symptom free.
The birds are happy and healthy again. It's been a few weeks of healthy birds and an abundance of eggs now.
